Message
from our Board Chairman
Welcome to TEMEDO,
Thank you for your ongoing support. At TEMEDO, we're dedicated to advancing Women's Land Rights, Human Rights, and rural community sustainability. In today's challenging environment, we're focused on scaling proven models to strengthen smallholder farmers' resilience, ensure seed security, and promote gender equality in agriculture.
I extend gratitude to all contributors for making our 2023 work possible. Together, we're shaping a greener Africa.
Best Regards.
Message
from our Coordinator
This year 2024, TEMEDO is on course to make yet more significant strides in advancing our strategic plan, focusing on sustainable food systems and community empowerment in Uganda.
Through initiatives like GALS and CRAEM, we've and will continue to bolster community capacity and advocate for women's land rights. Our commitment to governance and compliance, as well as partnerships, has been instrumental in our success and shall be our continued approach moving forward.
We're proud to present our achievements up to last year as highlighted in our Annual Report, which attests to TEMEDO's ongoing impact and the dedication of our network but the work ahead is to us a daily challenge we embrace.
Warm regards.

Pushing for change in small ways
A gender-sensitive checklist on leadership positions was developed after identifying gaps in most districts
on the positions of the Executive committee secretaries where the Local Government Act mentions only
1/3 which the districts have not been able to interpret. This was aimed at motivating potential Women to
apply for leadership positions in the districts.
Distribution of a gender-sensitive checklist to select leadership positions.
After developing the checklist, what followed was the distribution of the gender checklist to all District
Local Governments in Teso for used as one way to step up and motivate women into leadership positions.
